TV BRICS New Year broadcast Brazil India cultural programmes

TV BRICS will air a New Year’s Eve special about Brazil and India, reflecting their BRICS roles. Brazil’s segment includes ambassador interview and cultural documentaries. India’s segment features traditional arts, diplomat interview, and a wildlife film.

TV BRICS International Media Network announced a special New Year’s Eve broadcast featuring films and programmes about Brazil and India, the current and upcoming BRICS Chair countries. The lineup is designed to highlight these nations’ culture, international engagement, and roles within BRICS.

The Brazil segment will begin on the Russian-language TV BRICS channel with an interview with Brazil’s Ambassador to Russia, Sergio Rodrigues dos Santos, followed by two documentary films: Heritage about the traditional cavalcade in Brumadinho, and The Sounds of Chamamé, focusing on a UNESCO-recognised musical genre.

After midnight, the broadcast shifts to India, with a documentary on the traditional theatrical art Terukkuttu, an interview with India’s Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, and concluding with Whispers of the Wild Mandgadde Nataraj portraying a wildlife photographer’s work in the Western Ghats.
