Young actors from BRICS+ countries participating in theatre workshops in Moscow

By relaunching its Theatre Arts Fellowship in Moscow, Russia is using cultural cooperation to deepen engagement with BRICS+ countries, bringing young actors together for intensive practical training and collaborative creative work that promotes artistic exchange and helps build long-term cross-BRICS cultural networks.

Russia has reopened applications for its international Theatre Arts Fellowship for young actors from BRICS+ countries, continuing its cultural outreach through performing arts. The programme will be held in Moscow from 24 August to 3 October 2026, focusing on professional training and artistic exchange.

Organised with the involvement of major Russian theatre institutions, the fellowship includes acting workshops, stage speech and movement training, masterclasses with established artists, and visits to leading Moscow theatres. Participants will also work collaboratively on final stage projects.

The programme targets senior theatre students and early-career actors, offering hands-on exposure to Russian theatre traditions while strengthening cultural ties and professional networks across BRICS+ countries. Applications remain open until 31 May 2026.
