Iran and Uzbekistan scientific cooperation meeting between research institutions

Iran and Uzbekistan launched a second joint call to fund up to 10 bilateral research projects. The programme is coordinated by national science agencies of both countries. It aims to deepen scientific cooperation and enhance research quality.

Iran and Uzbekistan have announced a new stage of scientific cooperation, launching a second joint call for bilateral research proposals that will support up to 10 joint projects involving scientists from both countries. The initiative is aimed at expanding research collaboration in priority scientific areas agreed by the two sides.

The programme is being implemented through cooperation between the Iran National Science Foundation and the Agency for Innovative Development under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. Officials say the effort is designed to strengthen international scientific cooperation, improve research quality, and make more effective use of the scientific and technological potential of both nations.

The cooperation reflects deeper bilateral ties and the growing emphasis on research diplomacy and innovation exchange between Iran and Uzbekistan, supporting shared priorities in science and technology development.
