Iran and Malaysia agreed to expand their scientific cooperation via a set of new joint initiatives designed to boost academic exchange, research capacity, and innovation in key technology fields.
In a recent meeting in Tehran, Iran’s scientific counsellor for East Asia and senior Malaysian tech-institution representatives discussed establishing a joint research centre, launching student/faculty exchange programmes, offering reciprocal scholarships, and collaborating on publications and short-term specialized courses.
Key focus areas include AI, robotics, intelligent automation, renewable energy and nanotechnology — suggesting the cooperation aims at future-oriented, high-tech research with potential commercial and academic applications.
