Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment has upgraded its National Registry System for Climate Change to better track greenhouse gas emissions and achieve its ambitious climate goals. The revamped system serves as a centralized hub for climate-related data, offering a modern and user-friendly platform for stakeholders to analyze and utilize information effectively.

New features include streamlined verification processes, enhanced data visualization, and improved transparency and accessibility for all users. The goal is to transform the registry into a robust national climate data center that supports evidence-based decision-making and targeted emission reduction initiatives.

The updated system also supports the Economic Value of Carbon initiative, including carbon trading, turning climate data into actionable intelligence. With these tools, Indonesia aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 31.89% independently and up to 43.2% with international support, striving for carbon neutrality by 2060.
