Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet meeting Chinese leaders during his official visit to China

The visit highlights the continuing expansion of China–Cambodia relations and is expected to reinforce cooperation across political, economic, technological, and regional development initiatives.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet began a three-day official visit to China on 15 July, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation, and promoting new investment opportunities between the two countries. The visit will continue through 17 July.

During the visit, Hun Manet is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. He will also attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, where government officials, technology leaders, and international representatives will discuss global AI development and cooperation.

A delegation of senior Cambodian officials and business representatives is accompanying the Prime Minister. Discussions are expected to focus on trade, investment, infrastructure, technology, and the implementation of projects under the China–Cambodia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
