According to the 2024 global auto sales report released by Yiche in early February 2025, BYD has soared to the fourth place in global auto brand sales, a significant leap from its 10th position in 2023. This achievement highlights BYD’s growing influence and its continuous innovation in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector. The company has also frequently ranked second in monthly global sales charts, particularly in August and November 2024, consolidating its position as a leading global automotive brand.

BYD’s international expansion has been particularly noteworthy, with the company’s NEVs now covering over 400 cities across six continents and more than 100 countries. In 2024, BYD topped the sales charts in Singapore and became the best-selling EV brand in Malaysia, Thailand, and Colombia. It also emerged as the fastest-growing brand in Brazil. To support its global presence, BYD has established manufacturing plants in Hungary, Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Brazil, ensuring high-quality vehicle supply to local markets. Additionally, BYD has built its own fleet of roll-on/roll-off ships, including the “Explorer One,” “Changzhou,” and “Hefei,” to streamline the transportation of its vehicles overseas.
